ROMEO & JULIET – FUORIBIENNALE TEATRO
The art of theater spreads beyond its traditional boundaries during the Biennale Teatro, taking place from June 15th to July 1st. Skal Venezia, led by its President Domenico Stanziani, has conceived an extraordinary event called “FuoriBiennaleTeatro.”
This initiative draws inspiration from the original Shakespeare in Veneto project, which in 2016 brought the five Shakespearean plays set in Veneto to magnificent residences, villas, castles, and palaces.
This year, the Ca’ Nigra Garden has been chosen as one of the three non-theatrical locations that will transform into evocative settings.
On June 29th, 2023, at 6:30 PM, Romeo & Juliet will take the stage.
Love, passion, and tragedy merge in a unique theatrical experience: Romeo & Juliet. In an enchanting journey through Juliet’s soul, we will immerse ourselves in the intimacy of the performers, enveloped by the timeless magic of this tale. Four actors will bring forth deep emotions, unveiling hatred and love, joy and pain, captivating environments, intense duels, and fiery rivalries. “For never was a story of more woe than this of Juliet and her Romeo.”
The performance will be in the original language with Italian interventions.
Duration: approximately 60 minutes. An aperitif will follow.
Cast: Sabrina Modenini as ANIMA DI GIULIETTA; Giulia Lacorte as GIULIETTA; Riccardo Bodini as ROMEO; and Solimano Pontarollo as MONTECCHI and CAPULETI. Adaptation and direction by Solimano Pontarollo from Casa Shakespeare Verona.
